New Iberia: The Lafayette Little League 7-8 Allstars (Lafayette Gold - Tigers) won the regional 2001 Tournament of Champions. After losing the first game to New Iberia Red 10-9, they worked their way through the losers bracket, winning 6 straight games including the 10-0 victory over Evangeline White (NI) to claim the championship.
